Multiuser Access to Database

Hardware Inspector Client/Server provides the opportunity to work with a single database of all organization branches. It is very important for centralized inventory, especially in case assets are transferred among branches. Besides, it makes inventory sessions transparent for the central office, whereas branch users may have access only to their workplaces due to flexible access rights restriction.

The database can keep a record of users who successfully logged in and suggests the username from of the user list when a user logs in next time. The database assigns usernames to particular computers. This feature is very convenient in case the database is on the network, and many users work with it from different workstations.

You may want to monitor active sessions with the help of the “Server Control” form. It shows  users who are working with the database and enables the system administrator to ask or force users out the database.
